Human Rights Policy

Fundamental Philosophy

Since its establishment in 1972, Veritas Corporation (“Veritas”) has pursued its core mission of enhancing the efficiency of international industries through the coordination of advanced technologies. Through the mission, Veritas seeks to contribute to global peace by “cultivating bonds of trust among people across borders”.
The cultivation of such bonds cannot be achieved without respect for, and due regard to, human rights. Guided by its corporate philosophy and code of conduct, Veritas hereby affirms its commitment to respect the human rights of all stakeholders affected by its operations. Veritas further undertakes to provide appropriate education and training on human rights to its executives and employees, and expects its business partners to understand, support, and comply with this Human Rights Policy and related principles.

Veritas Human Rights Policy

In line with the foregoing philosophy, Veritas has established this Human Rights Policy (“this Policy”) by reference to international standards, including the International Bill of Human Rights (comprising “the Universal Declaration of Human Rights” and “the International Covenants on Human Rights”), the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the United Nations Global Compact, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Through this Policy, Veritas commits to respecting the human rights of stakeholders affected by its operations and to addressing any adverse human rights impacts arising from its business activities, thereby fulfilling its responsibility to promote respect for human rights.
